Rating (out of 5):
The film follows a man who is parked alone in a dark street when he notices another man standing under a street light wearing a mask. He confronts him and soon finds himself on the business end of an ass kicking.
I love reviewing shorts. They are small but usually pack a punch. Hell, a lot of shorts that I've reviewed over the years was able to tell a story better than most feature length films. With that being said, Head Bussa actually doesn't benefit from the short run time but I'll talk about that in a moment. I liked it but I need so much more. The acting in this one is solid. The film consists of an extremely small cast with only two people. One of them does not speak and wears a mask while the other delivers a pretty entertaining performance. I really liked how down the earth the character was. It fit very well with the tone of the film. The story for this one works for the extremely short run time but I have so many questions now. I want more and it's a damn shame we don't have it. Typically, I enjoy shorts but this time around I need a feature length approach to this character. Finally, the film has a little blood and some minor make-up effects but don't expect a gory mess like you would get with slashers similar to this one. Overall, Head Bussa is fun for the short watch but I want and need more. Fucking make it happen!
