Rating (out of 5):

While most of my horror brethren were digging into the classic Friday the 13th film franchise this Friday the 13th I decided to take a different approach.  After spending the last few days watching a few fan films I decided it was time to watch a few Friday the 13th movies that are rated X.  I had bought the Official Friday the 13th Parody several years ago but never got around to checking it out.  However, before I did I wanted to watch the first Friday the 13th porn from 1987.
The film follows a demon named Jason that makes a bet with his sister that he could corrupt more people than her.  The pair try to out do each other by seducing women on their wedding night, preachers, and so on.
I had never seen this one before so my only assumption about it was that there was plenty of nudity and sex.  However, with that title in the late 80s I figured there would be something to do with the iconic slasher franchise.  I was very, very wrong.  The acting in this one is actually pretty solid for a fuck flick.  The characters have no personality but the cast really does get into their roles priot to the sexy scenes.  Some try to stay in character during the sex scenes but they failed miserably once it starts.  The story for this one works perfectly for a porn.  However, if you were looking for something inspired by the slasher franchise you will be very disappointed.  The film begins with the character named Jason wearing a hockey mask but he promptly removes it.  That is the only nod to the films.  However, the story we do get really does work well for a fuck flick.  It's a porn with a plot which is enough to hold your interest.  Finally, no blood or gore in this one.  There is beautiful bodies and elaborate sets but that is the extent of that.  Overall, Friday the 13th: A Nude Beginning may sucker some horror fans into checking it out thinking it has more to do with the iconic slasher but it doesn't.  The story is solid but that is about the only redeeming quality of the whole film.  Skip it.
