The Movie:  I love possession films!  I love slasher films!  Here we have both wrapped into one.  Poor Mitch gets dumped by Kim his lady and the boy just plain flies off the handle.  Kim heads out with her best friend to a big party and Mitch stalks their every step.  Even going as far as calling the police and spoiling their party.  Thus leading Kim and a small group of her friends to find and explore the Redsin Tower a local haunt of sorts.  Once there the stories of the Redsin Tower emerge involving a rich alchemist who tortured and experimented on the locals within the walls of the stone tower.  All hell literally breaks loose while the demons of the tower and Mitch are on the loose pursuing Kim and her friends.

The Gore:  Loads of gore here.  It's Fred fucking Vogel creator of the August Underground films.  The man knows his fx because he's an fx man himself as he points out in the documentary included in this edition of the Redsin Tower.  And his fx man Jerami Cruise is a true wizard of special effects.  Watching the documentary proves that Toe Tag Pictures really stretches the boundaries of innovative effect creation.  One goriffic scene shows a man being literally ripped open at the midsection and his guts just fall out everywhere.  The crew had to withstand the stench of actual animal guts during this scene being dropped out of the stomach of the victim and watching them do this was just plain awesome.  Gorehounds rejoice!

The Acting:  I felt the entire cast most especially Bethany Newell did a great job and the fact that she never did any other films after this that I know of is kind of disappointing.  Another great addition to the cast was Perry Tiberio who played Mitch the psycho boyfriend and man did Perry's crazy come out in this film...mannerisms, looks, and tone of voice just perfect.  Also very much enjoyed the role of Jessica Kennedy who played Kim's best friend.  Her body movements while possessed were directly on point.
The Script:  Superb.  Well written dialogue to the point of certain conversations bringing me back to my younger days.  Nothing felt dull or unnecessary at all.  The backstory of the Redsin tower really drew me in.
The Documentary and Extra Discs:  I am not a fan of overdone disc editions of one single film.  With that being said this Possession Edition was worth every extra penny.  Watching Fred and his team turn this idea into a film was a real treat for me.  Being an addict of independent cinema I was literally glued to the screen for two and a half hours during the documentary.  And after going through all 5 discs I'm so glad I spent the extra dough.  You see the horrific movie which is dark and nasty and then when you watch the documentary you basically see a bunch of friends and/or co-workers working hard while at the same time laughing and enjoying themselves.  One medical snag changed the outcome of the film and created some tension but in the end it all worked out as far as I'm concerned.
