Rating (out of 5):
I love when I search for something specific and come across something amazing completely by accident.  Lately, I have been on a huge Trailer Park Boys kick and have been watching episode after episode on Netflix.  I wanted to find a wallpaper of the Trailer Park Boys for my laptop so I turned to Google images.  I searched a few pages and came across a poster for the film The Haunted Trailer which had Ron Jeremy's name plastered across the top of it.  It looked hilarious so I sought them out on Facebook.  I messaged them and never received a message back.  A few weeks passed and they finally got back to me.  They were nice enough to send me a link to an online screener and for that I would like to thank you!
The film centers on two bumbling hillbilly brothers, their mouthy mother, and their super fucking foxy sister Prissy as they live their day to day life drinking beer and shaving their momma's legs. That was until an ancient demon was accidentally awakened by a group of partying teenagers.  The demon (Jeremy) sets out to set about the 2012 Mayan apocalypse.  The demon inhabits the family's trailer and attaches itself Poltergeist style to Prissy and makes the family's life a living hell.  The family tries various remedies including a mail-order exorcism kit.  When that fails they turn to Reverend Wiggems but does he have the power to rid them of their pornographic demon or will his lust for Prissy get the best of him?
When I first saw the poster for this flick I knew the film would be hilarious but I had no idea this movie would make me laugh like it did. I have watched my fair share of horror comedies in my life and laughed my ass off at a many of them but none made me laugh like this one here.  If you can say anything about this flick it's that it is funny as hell.  The acting is decent by most of the cast but it did start to wear on me after so long.  The whole redneck and backwoods spin on the characters was definitely forced and before too long started to get on my damn nerves.  However, the cast really did bring a lot of personality to their characters which really helps pull the viewer into the movie.  The story is an original and hilarious twist to the Tobe Hooper classic Poltergeist mixed with the actual television show that lead me to discovering this film and that is Trailer Park Boys.  Nothing original but fucking hilarious.  Finally, those looking for on screen kills and gratuitous amounts of blood will not find it here.  However, the film does have a lot of visual effects that look campy which only adds to the humor.  Overall, this is one disgusting, vile, and raunchy comedy that will make you laugh until your heart stops.  I highly recommend it!

The DVD release date is Jan 14, 2014 and VOD coming Feb 1, 2014.
