I am a giant fan of Dustin Mills.  I cannot express that enough.  I have more intrigue and excitement for his films than any director in the indie scene.  There is just always something new fx wise and his script writing and dialogue are pretty much unmatched in the independent community.  That all being said I wasn't a huge fan of Snuffet.  Was it a bad movie, oh hell no.  The editing, the shots, the innovative puppet gore spread all around were all great.  The puppet gore scenes were for me the very best part of the movie bar none.  I love Dustin's puppetry and fx and I was by no means unsatisfied there.  Each puppet was tortured in different ways and a lot of imagination was used in creating these fx.  The flick pretty much plays out like a Sesame Street torture porn with a little bit of actual porn thrown in, yep even some puppet porn.
This is where I lost interest.  I found the sex scenes to be quite boring and essentially couldn't wait for the rest of the story with the bizarre green masked killer of puppets to make it back to the screen.  I however cannot fault Mr. Mills here completely because frankly most sex scenes bore the shit out of me.  I'm definitely in the minority, especially in the indie world as my experience has proved but I just would usually prefer no prolonged sex scenes at all.  At first one of the sex scenes in particular with the puppets was quite hilarious but then it drug on and I found myself on the fast forward button.  I generally just find the whole thing uninteresting and no this has no moral background I mean I'm a huge fan of Nekromantik for goodness sake.  I'm just more of a bang quick naked scene and move on with few exceptions.

Back to something positive though, the acting was top notch from Brandon Salkil and yes I very much got into the part of Janet Jay whom in my opinion is getting better and better.  Her role in this was quite believable and there were no awkward acting moments at all.  Crazy came across well and her assistance with our green masked puppet killer was on point with the direction of the movie.  Brandon of course once again proves why he's pretty much my favorite independent actor.  Masked or unmasked Brandon pulls the viewer into his characters like no other in his field.  My favorite of his roles is and probably always will be The Ballad of Skinless Pete but here in Snuffet he continues his wide range of acting abilities.  He is never the same and that's saying a lot even for the most famous and experienced actors.
I don't wanna get into too much more here but my recommendation is to definitely check this one out as with all of with Dustin Mill's movies whether the Crumpleshack or DMP Productions themselves.
