     Horror porn was in full swing in the 1970s but they were still focusing more on the porn aspect of the film instead of the horror.  That was fine because sex always sells but for a horror fan like myself these films tended to be a little boring.  Most of these films lacked any coherent plot and focused on the fuck scenes.  If you were wanting to see a porn then you were in luck but people wanting to see a cheesy and sexy horror flick with fuck scenes then you were shit out of luck.  However, sometime during the 1970s the horror porn shifted to story driven films that took place in a horror setting.  Among those early 70s horror porn films was Ray Dennis Steckler's Mad Love Life of a Hot Vampire.  The film was recently released in a triple feature from Vinegar Syndrome along with two other Steckler films, Peeping Tom and Red Heat.  

     The film follows Dracula who awakens for the night and immediately starts fucking his female vampires along with his hunchback.  Dracula then sends his vampire whores out to pick up men on the road and take them back to a hotel for a little sex.  After a long and enduring fuck fest the female vampires then attack and drain the blood from their victims.

     

     Mad Love Life of a Hot Vampire was the third and final film in my Dracula movie marathon and I was hoping it would go out with a bang or at least live up to the quality of film that I saw with Dracula Sucks.  However, just mere minutes into MLLoaHV I knew this would be nothing like Dracula Sucks.  The film followed the true porn style of horror porn and just used Dracula as a back drop for fucking.  This created one boring ass film especially when you consider most of the cast is wrinkly as a prune now and never shaved...  The acting in this film is horrible and cliched which is what you would come to expect from porn parodies.  The cast was only assembled to fuck with no regard to character development or portrayal.  The story for this one is funny and could have been one hell of a horror porn parody.  However, due to the film not following up with the story and only going straight to fucking leaves the viewer bored as hell.  It is unable to capture the viewer's attention.  Finally, the film has no on screen kills or special effects but it does have tons of hairy cooters.  Overall, Mad Love Life of a Hot Vampire is a porn flick that tries to dabble in horror only to fail miserably and go down in history as a flawed and cliched film.  I can not recommend this one.
