Okay everyone wants original horror, right?  Well here you go.  Laura played by Kayden Rose is tormented with life.  Her art career is going no where and her boyfriend is an abusive "oaf" as a male friend of hers describes him to be at one point.  She is just plain unhappy especially after her latest sculpture has been rejected.  Laura falls into depression and gets into a fight with her boyfriend only to have a pretty rough romp in the sack shortly after.  After he finishes she tells him it's over and he does not pleasure her anymore.  The boyfriend gets mad and leaves and it's not far after that Laura starts developing strange marks she confuses with the normal bruises her abusive boyfriend leaves.  Soon however it becomes quite clear these marks are not domestic violence leftovers but in fact much worse. She starts getting sick throwing up brownish red goo and her body continues to get worse the entire film.  Kind of like watching David Cronenberg's the Fly only she's rotting alive instead of mutating into a giant fly.  The fx for this little viral horror were outstanding.  Gross, disgusting, not full of the dreaded cgi blood I complain about all the time.  Her parts start falling off, she plucks out her eyeballs in one particular scene.  It really takes you through a downward spiral of depression, fear, and disgust all at the same time.
There were a few scenes with focus problems and I wasn't sure at first if this was done on purpose or not but either way lack of focus is always a bad idea.  That being said I'm still throwing the 5 Bloody Hand Prints at this movie simply because of the originality, effects, acting, and the fact that it drew me in to the point that I couldn't look away.  I got my first recommendation for seeing this from fellow reviewer Fred Anderson Ex-Ninja and boy am I glad I took his advice.
Kayden Rose was excellent.  She performed the perfect amount of despair, fear, and anger.  Anger at life and also anger with the men in her life.  I won't go into too much more here but let's just say she's not the only victim in this film.  She has victims of her own.  All great effects again, most especially the ending sequence which really just reminded me a lot of the Hellraiser scene where Frank is slowly molding back together as a disgusting mess.  Only this is in reverse and any splatter fan like myself will have a field day with the final effect.  Do not rent or buy or watch this movie if you cannot
handle extreme cinema.  It is full of sex including sex while she's rotting and when I say rotting she literally rots and rots till she is a gory pile on the floor of her apt.  Also there are 5 or 6 scenes of people vomiting so it holds the record there for me.  Well other than the vomit gore movies that some people seem to like for whatever reason but I don't count those haha.  Go for it, I'm glad I did.
