It has now been 23 days fucking days without a horror movie.  Now I know, to a small degree, how drug addicts feel when they don't get their fix.  I went from watching a horror movie daily to not watching a single fucking one for 23 days now.  23 of the shittiest days.  I decided that January, and again in July, I will dedicate my reviews to reviewing the non-horror films that have been sent to me over the last few years mostly from Impulse Pictures and Vinegar Syndrome.  Most of these films were sexploitation, vintage porn, and softcore flicks that were forgotten over time.  As the month slowly moves on, I decided it was time to check out one of the Drive-In Collections sent to me from Vin Syn.  This one was three films from Don Davis.  The first one in the batch was the 1970 softcore flick Marsha: The Erotic Housewife.
The film follows the beautiful Marsha who recently marries the man of her dreams.  She has dreams of living the American dream with her husband but he has other plans.  The man is obsessed with his job and expects his wife to handle every aspect of their home life.  He expects her to cook, clean, shop, care for the child, and listen to his every word.  He dedicates all his time to work and then leaves on business trips where he hooks up with other women.  Marsha soon finds out and instead of confronting him on the matter, she decides to start hooking up with guys who will satisfy her sexually.
I knew nothing of this film before checking it out but I was curious after seeing the poster for (above).  Marsha, played by Marsha Jordan, is a very attractive woman.  There has only been a handful of women from older films that I have found attractive but Marsha had me completely mesmerized.  The acting in this one is surprisingly entertaining and had that quirky feel like the cast was having a lot of fun on set.  This reminded me a lot of the film The Undertaker and his Pals.  The cast does a great job and the scenes are fun as hell to watch for the most part.  The story for this one is your basic sleazy story line that just pushes the cast from sex scene to sex scene.  It offers up no entertainment value other than allowing Marsha Jordan the opportunity to take her clothes.  Finally, this is another one void of kills, blood, and gore.  Instead, it features several moderately attractive women, along with the beautiful Marsha Jordan, naked moaning in ecstasy.   Overall, Marsha: The Erotic Housewife is nothing special but does deserve at least one watch.  Check it out.
