Rating (out of 5):
A few weeks ago I ventured into an area of cinema that I rarely visit.  The "women in prison" sub-genre of exploitation is one that I have never held interest in and one I doubt I will ever develop a taste for.  With that being said, when Blue Underground releases a film you can bet your sweet ass that I want it.  The film in question, 99 Women, was actually pretty entertaining for what it was but I was still looking forward to Blue Undergrounds return to horror.  They quickly announced their newest release which was another "women in prison" flick title Love Camp 7.  This time the viewer is taken to World War 2.  I was curious so I reached out to them and they were kind enough to send a review copy my way.  Thanks guys!
The film follows two beautiful American female soldiers who are sent into Germany to infiltrate a Nazi prison camp.  They are periodically tortured, humiliated, raped, and then forced to sexually satisfy Nazi soldiers.  The camp they infiltrated is a "love camp" where soldiers go to get a little tail before going back to fight the Allied powers.  Their mission is to gather intel on the Nazi war force before escaping but things get hairy and they find themselves stuck in the love camp.

Women in prison flicks are not really my thing.  They lack story, imagination, and tend to be a rather boring experience.  The film 99 Women was entertaining but still had its own problems it had to work through but Love Camp 7 was not my cup of tea.  The acting in this one is very forced and awkward at times to watch.  Some of the scene flow like the cast did not have enough time to remember their lines.  The conversation is unnatural and the cast puts for no effort at making their characters believable.  To make matters worse, in the scenes where the women are screaming from pain and torture they show signs of emotion on their face.  They are just screaming because they were told to.  No attempt at all from the cast.  The story for this one could have been something special in the world of sleaze and sexploitation.  Instead, it went the boring route and tried to shock the audience.  The film has the perfect set up to be a sleazy sexploitation film with plenty of sex, espionage, and action all set against World War II.  Instead, the film went with the shock value and had beautiful American girls tortured and raped by Nazi soldiers.  This was extremely boring and left me fighting sleep.  Finally, those of you looking for blood and gore will not find any here.  For the few of you looking for a sexy sexploitation film will not find it either.  However, if you are looking for beautiful women screaming all the god damn time then this film is for you.  The film lacks humor, action, sex appeal, and any sort of practical effects that you would be looking for.  Overall, Love Camp 7 could have been the World War II sexploitation flick to end them all but went for the shock value.  The cast shows no dedication to their roles and the story is a one trick pony.  Blue Underground has dozens more films to check out that I would recommend over this one.  Skip it.
