Montalvan is a film maker that is great at making original and unusual films. His movies do not follow your typical movie pacing and formula but still deliver quality entertainment. Montalvan has a style all his own and really uses it to deliver his vision and story on to the film in his own unique way. His movies are unlike any other directors I have seen and often flirt with the line of thriller and suspense. The acting in this one is actually very well done and Respass does an amazing job in his role. Respass puts his heart and soul in to his performance and it shows. That, or he truly is unstable like the characters he portrays. The story is actually very detailed and complex. Unfortunately, it does not unfold well on screen. The movie is extremely hard to follow. I often had to pause and rewind because I thought I missed something. A little more work on the cutting and editing would have helped the flow of the film. Finally, the effects are amazing. The film offers a lot of great practical effects and on screen kills. This movie will, without a doubt, satisfy those with a blood fetish. Overall, this is a solid effort by Montalvan. The film has beautiful women, great gore, and the look of the old days when VHS ran supreme. I highly recommend it.
