Rating (out of 5):
Some movies are just made to deceive the viewer.  I was a little excited to watch Mulva after I watched another Chris Seaver film that was in this box set called Filthy McNasty.  I enjoyed that film and was looking forward to seeing this.  Before I watched this movie I searched around for reviews of Filthy McNasty to see what other reviews had said about the film.  Almost every review spoke of Mulva which only solidified my urge to watch this film.

The film follows a chocolate addicted nerd who is excited to celebrate Halloween.  Due to her addiction this is obviously her favorite holiday.  Unfortunately, this Halloween will not be like any other she has celebrated.  The dead has returned from the grave to eat human flesh.  Mulva refuses to let some undead fools stop her from getting her delicious chocolate and trick or treats anyway.  Lucky for her the supernatural ass kicker known as Bonejack just happens to be her neighbor!

This movie was a HUGE letdown.  The poster shown above displays a beautiful woman boasting a big ass gun which made me think this movie would consist of bad ass fight scenes and a lot of zombie carnage.  Sadly, nothing on the poster can be seen in this film.  The poster deceived me and countless others.  I can't stand when I find a movie with amazing artwork and when I watch it nothing from the poster work can be seen in the film.  I honestly can't fathom why a director and producer would want to create artwork for a film and include things that are not in it.  That is bad taste and an even worse marketing strategy.  If you are trying to make a quick profit then it does work but if you are trying to build a larger fan base then you chose to do the wrong thing.  The acting in this film is horrible and after 5 minutes I really hated the character of Mulva.  You should never make a movie where it is impossible for the viewer to like the lead character.  I honestly wanted to see her become a zombie snack.  The story is nothing special but still had potential to be a decent no-budget flick.  Sadly, the horrendous main character drags this story down and not even the outstanding Bonejack can save this sinking ship.  More zombies and zombie fighting would have really made this movie a lot more enjoyable.  Hell, with a movie called Zombie Ass Kicker one would assume the movie would consist mostly of that.  This film really needed a different title or a different story to match the title.  Finally, the on screen kills we do get are weak and the special effects are really bad.  In fact, the zombies are the worst I have ever seen.  Some are wearing Halloween masks while others are just sporting some grey face paint.  They are not consistent nor are they great looking.  Overall, this movie is misleading and not worth watching.  Fans of Bonejack should watch it just to complete his films but that is the only reason this movie should be watched.  Avoid it!
