I am a completest.  When I buy a movie that has sequels, prequels, and companion films I won't rest until I have them all.  Most of the time I will buy the box set to save me some time, headache, and a little money.  It is also cool to grab em that way just so I can get all the bonus material.  That goes without saying that I have a shit ton of box sets in my movie collection.  Some off which are still in the packaging.  That means that I have seen numerous series from beginning to end and this has helped me form a theory about horror and horror film series.  Most films and their sequel tend to be decent.  The sequel is usually not as good as the original but most are still entertaining.  It is, sadly, around the third film that makes or breaks the series.  If the third sucks we as fans do not get the fourth film but if the third film is decent in any way then watch out because the flood gates are about to open.  After watching the decent Class of Nuke 'Em High Part II I wondered why it took over 20 years for the series to get a new film.  So I threw in part 3 and quickly understood.
The film picks up immediately after the events of Class of Nuke 'Em High Part II.  Roger Smith (Bronsky) and his subhumanoid lover become pregnant. An evil corporate entity known as Dr. Slag Ph.D. (Tallman) takes over the nuclear facility and soon learns that the subhumanoid is pregnant.  The day she goes into labor he sends his goons to kidnap the baby.  Their plans succeeds but they are unaware that she is pregnant with twins and leaves the other behind for Roger to raise.  Sadly, the subhumanoid does not make it and dies during birth.  The twins are raised differently unaware that the other one exists.  Rogers raises his son Adlai (also portrayed by Bronsky) to be a kind and gentle soul while Dr. Slag Ph.D. raises Dick (once again played by Bronsky) to be evil and trains him in hand to hand combat. It is not until the locals discover that Adlai has a special power and can power the nuclear reactor safely.  That is when Adlai shows up on Dr. Slag Ph.D.'s radar and he sets in motion to ruin Adlai's good reputation by having Dick pretend to be him.  Things do not go according to plan and Dick becomes friends if Adlai throwing a wrench in Dr. Slag Ph.D.'s plans.
When I finished Class of Nuke 'Em High Part II I really had high hopes for the sequel but I knew the film would not capitalize on what made the first film and sequel so much fun. Sadly, it tried to change it up a bit.  The acting in this one is more of the same from part II.  Nothing special but that is what we expect and love about Troma and their films.  It should also be said that Bronsky did a great job in his three roles.  This took a great deal of talent regardless of it being a Troma flick.  The story for this one is even more of the same from part 1 and II but is mixed with Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors.  This was very clever and I actually enjoyed it.  The big downside to this is the film does not feel like a continuation of the other films even though this one takes up moments later after the second.  I hate to beat a dead horse but it just lacked all the fun and campiness the others had.  Finally, the film has the same type of kills and special effects the previous film had.  Overall, Class of Nuke 'Em High 3 is a follow up that could not compete with the previous two films.  The film can be fun at times but unless you are a fan of early 90s horror then you will not enjoy it.
