Brian Williams, you are my motherfucking hero.  You have made a film that gives me real hope for the independent scene.  You came out of nowhere with this film, and you just hit it straight out of the park.  Time To Kill is 70 minutes of pure, unadulterated awesome.

Ellie Church, looking hot as ever, is Sarah, a girl who just wants to kick ass and take names.  She wants to wreak havoc against all those who wrong her or who have wronged her.  Seriously, though, let's not let plot get in the way, because well, while the movie does have one, this isn't a movie that's interested in story.  This movie almost feels like an experimental work, a pastiche of just about every great b-movie or exploitation flick in the 60s.  Plus, the musical soundtrack for this fucker is one of the best I've heard in an indie movie since I don't know when.

Wall to wall nudity?  You got it.  There's a lesbian bath sequence about 25 minutes into the film that is worth the purchase alone.  Blood?  There's a lot of that, too, though it's done in the more over the top way that you see in a lot of modern faux-grindhouse films.  Before that point, the movie feels like just a very well done homage to the era.  It remains fairly plot driven, and we get some backstory for the characters.  Then, a shift occurs.  There's an intermission sequence halfway through the movie that makes the film go completely off the rails.  The sequence is hilarious, absurd, and just absolutely insane.  Once the second half begins, the movie seems to just be doing its own thing.  There's even a psychedelic hallucination sequence that I thought was incredibly well done.

Seriously, people.  This is such an easy recommendation for me.  The movie is absolutely insane for starters.  There are no cinematic rules here.  Brian Williams just wanted to make the most wild fucking movie he could make.  The shot compositions on display are marvelous.  The use of lighting and color were perfect for evoking the era.  The way the film almost brought to mind the classic nudie cuties at times was also something that got to me.  This is exploitation cinema done right.  Seriously, while in a lot of ways I feel that the age of true cult classics have gone, this is a movie that will definitely develop a following.

The movie is a bit of a mess, I'm not going to lie.  In a way, though, I feel this was Brian's intention.  This was a unique, personal vision of a bygone era of cinema.  This is the kind of work you should be supporting.  Definitely head over to their site and pick this bad boy up.  I see a lot of great things coming our way from the underground, and it's that air of mystery that keeps me here, eagerly anticipating what will come next.

Until next time, my fellow freaks and weirdos.
